Primary Applications>Online Loan Collection

The SILVERLAKE On-line Loan Collection System is designed to track accounts whose status warrants more individual attention. The system has mechanisms to automatically include past due loan and overdraft protection accounts, charged-off and non-accrual loans, and even deposit accounts with a negative balance. Other items to be tracked maybe placed in the collection system manually.

The system allows collection officers to be assigned accounts so that each account will require an action. Once the collection officer receives a response from a customer, the officer will enter a message in the file describing the customer contact. This account has now been "worked" for the current collection situation. The collection officer’s performance will be tracked and statistics will be kept which reflect the number of accounts in the collection file for each collection officer, how many accounts are cleared by each officer, and the average number of days the accounts stay in the file.

Another aspect of the SILVERLAKE On-line Loan Collection System is its letter-writing capability. This feature allows the bank to automatically send individualized correspondence to troubled accounts. Over 900 different letters can be written to handle various circumstances—each one addressing a particular situation. Within these letters, over thirty (30) different fields can be used as variables to be embedded in the text. This allows you to build a library of standardized letters that can still be personalized to each customer.

Exception Item Processing

The Exception Item Processing (EIP) application supports processing of unposted items for loans. EIP is a convenient place to work all exception items on a daily basis. The data entry and daily processing is governed by parameter files. EIP eliminates the need to write up transactions and offsetting entries, thus reducing the amount of time spent handling these items. Notices are generated for the customer explaining why the item was returned or charged back.
